Happ Subscription Link: What It Is and How to Add It
A subscription link is the easiest way to use Happ VPN: one link holds all of your servers and pulls in a fresh list automatically whenever we change something. Below we explain how it differs from a single key, how to paste it into the Happ app, and what to do if your servers do not update.
What a subscription link is
A subscription link (subscription URL) is a single link that hides a whole set of servers and configurations behind it. You add it to the Happ app just once, and from then on Happ VPN keeps everything up to date for you.
The main advantage is auto-refresh. When we add new locations or replace a server, the list inside the app updates on its own, so you never have to move configs by hand. You can read more about the servers and configurations on their own pages.
How a subscription differs from a single key
The difference is simple:
- A single key is one specific config, one connection. When a new server appears, you have to add the key again.
- A subscription link is a whole set of servers plus auto-refresh. Paste it once and the full list is always there.
If you only need one server, a key is enough — see the keys page for how to get one. For everyday use, a subscription is more convenient.
How to add the link in the Happ app
Here is the flow:
- Copy the subscription link from our Telegram bot.
- Open the Happ app and choose add by link (subscription / add from URL).
- Paste the link and confirm — the app will load all the configurations for you.
- Pick the server you need from the list and connect.
If this is your first time in Happ, follow the step-by-step setup guide, where the whole process is covered from scratch.
Automatic server updates
Once the subscription is added, the app periodically requests a fresh list of servers on its own. You do not have to do anything — new locations show up automatically.
If you want to refresh the list right now, open your subscription in Happ and tap refresh. The app will reload the current configurations from the same link.
Where to get the subscription link
The link comes from the service Telegram bot, which acts as your personal dashboard. There you can also check your subscription status and copy the link again if needed.
The link is tied to your account, so keep it to yourself. Everything related to your access lives in the account section.
If the servers do not update
Sometimes the list does not pull in right away. Try these in order:
- Open the subscription in Happ and tap refresh manually.
- Make sure you pasted the whole link, with no extra spaces.
- Check that the internet works without an active VPN at the moment of refresh.
- Copy the link from the bot again — it may have changed.
If the servers still do not appear, visit the not working section, where the common causes and fixes are collected.

Get a keyFrequently asked questions
How is a subscription different from a key?
A key is one config, one connection. A subscription link is a whole set of servers plus auto-refresh: the list updates itself whenever we change or add servers.
How do I refresh the server list?
The list usually updates automatically. To do it manually, open your subscription in the Happ app and tap refresh — the configurations will reload from the same link.
Why did my servers disappear or stop showing?
A manual refresh of the subscription usually fixes it. Make sure the link is pasted in full and you have an internet connection. If servers still do not appear, copy the link from the bot again or check the not working section.
Is it safe to paste a subscription link?
Yes, as long as it is your own link from our Telegram bot. It is tied to your account, so do not share it with others and add it only to the Happ app.
