First-Time Setup for Happ VPN

Step 1. Install the App

Happ is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPhone, and Smart TV — install the version that matches your device.

• Open the Happ download page and pick your platform
• Install the app using the standard method for your system
• Launch Happ — you'll see the welcome screen

Step 2. Get an Access Key

Keys and subscription links are issued only through the service Telegram bot. Without a key, the app installs fine but can't connect to a server.

• Open the bot via the link on the Happ Telegram bot page
• Request a key — there's a 3-day trial on the free access page, and paid plans are listed on the pricing page
• Copy the key or subscription link you receive

Step 3. Add the Key in the App

In Happ, find the add-key or add-subscription screen — it's usually shown right on first launch.

• Paste the copied key or link into the add screen
• Wait while the app loads the server details
• If the key was added correctly, at least one server will appear in the list

Step 4. Choose a Server and Connect

Once the key is added, open the server list and choose one based on location or speed.

• Browse the list on the Happ servers page
• Select a server and tap the connect button in the app
• Wait for the status to change to connected — usually a matter of seconds

Basic Troubleshooting

If a connection won't establish, one of these simple steps usually fixes it.

• Check your internet connection without Happ — sites should load normally without a VPN too
• Switch to a different server in the list
• Make sure your key hasn't expired, and request a new one from the bot if needed
