What a Key and a Subscription Link Are

An access key is a string of connection parameters that ties the app to your account and servers. A subscription link works similarly but can refresh the server list automatically without manual updates.

• Both formats are issued only through the service Telegram bot
• You cannot generate a key inside the Happ app itself — only through the bot
• A single key can usually be used across multiple devices

Where to Find the Add-Key Screen

In Happ, the add-key screen usually opens automatically on first launch. If the app is already set up, you can add a new key from the main screen.

• Open Happ and look for the add-key or add-subscription button — often a "+" icon
• The screen may be labeled "Add configuration" or "Add subscription" depending on the version
• The logic is the same across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPhone, and Smart TV

The actual process is the same regardless of device.

• Copy the key or subscription link from the Telegram bot message
• Open Happ and tap the add-key button
• Paste the copied text into the input field
• Confirm — the app will load the server list

Confirming the Key Was Added Correctly

After adding a key, it's worth confirming it worked before trying to connect.

• At least one server should appear in the server list
• The number or names of servers may vary depending on your plan
• Try connecting to any server in the list — if the status changes to connected, the key was added correctly

What to Do If Adding a Key Fails

Sometimes a key doesn't add on the first try — usually because of the key text itself or its expiration.

• Make sure you copied the entire key, without extra spaces at the start or end
• Confirm the key hasn't expired — current plans are listed on the Happ pricing page
• Request a fresh key from the Telegram bot if the error repeats
